INTRODUCTION
Swami Devi Dyal Hi-Tech Education Academy added a new feature in them and named it as Swami Devi Dyal Institute of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation in year 2004. A 100 bedded General Hospital is fully functional within the campus as an attachment with the Institute of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation. This institute is approved by Govt. of Haryana and is affiliated to Kuruskhetra University, Kurukshetra.
MEET THE PRINCIPAL
Dr. Surinder Kumar Lakhanpal is a Post Graduate from All India Institute of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Bombay. He was awarded WHO fellowship in Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation of handicapped in UK and also worked at Denmark. He has an experience of more than 36 years in the field of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation. He has worked as an active member of I.A.P. He has also attended almost all the conferences held annually by I.A.P. in different parts of India and presented scientific papers at various occasions. He has rich experience of organizing the Camps and Functions for disabled from time to time.
COURSE DESCRIPTION
B. Pht. 4 years followed by 6 months compulsory internship.
Total seats: 100 - Reservation of seats will be as per State Govt. policy.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
The candidate must have passed one of the following examinations
Senior secondary examination (12th)
OR
Pre-medical or 10+2 or any equivalent examination form any Indian/Foreign University/Board which is recognized as equivalent thereto by the Kurukshetra University, minimum 50% marks (40% in case of SC/ST) in the aggregate of English, Physics, Chemistry & Biology subjects, with 33% marks in each subject.
Note: Candidate is required to have attained the age of 17 years or more on 31st Dec. 2007.
Students are admitted as per University norms on merit basis subject to seat availability.
