Words from HOD
As per the requirements of the industry and the corporate sector an engineer is required to present the facts and the contents in the most logical manner. Apart from this, a confident personality can lead a group and is able to face any situation at corporate level. In order to inculcate such traits in our students the Department arranges seminars and invites eminent persons for expert talks. All these activities not only sharpen their technical skills but also help in developing their generic skills.

Traditionally mechanical engineers deal with the design, development, production and maintenance of all kinds of machines and their usage. With fast changing technology certain changes are essential for mechanical engineers. Considering these aspects we aim at training the students to adapt themselves to the fast changing technology. The department has competent faculty. They cover all the areas of specialization in mechanical engineering. The department emphasizes understanding of basic concepts. It also makes efforts to give adequate exposure to the students in the field of recent developments. For the past seven years, the department has witnessed tremendous expansion in terms of infrastructure and laboratory facilities. The laboratories give our students enhanced exposure to state of the art technology. Our aim is to provide a first class environment to our staff and students to work and thus providing appropriate service for the benefit of society at large.

I call upon the students to make best use of the resources. I wish the success and bright future to all the students of the department.
