INTRODUCTION
The Master of Computer Applications Programme started in 2002 with an intake of 60 students which was enhanced to 120 in the year 2007. The department is having modern amenities. The skilled, experienced and dedicated teaching staff is in position to impart quality teaching to the students. Apart from the academic activities, equal emphasis is laid down on extra curricular activities, including indoor, outdoor games, cultural as well as literary activities, which help in the all round development of students.  The department has air conditioned computer laboratories with the systems having high-end configurations. All the computers ranging from Pentium-III to Pentium-IV have been installed in the Computer labs. In addition several peripherals like Laptop, Printers, CD Drives, CD writers, OHP, LCD Projector, Switches, and Hubs etc. are present in the lab.'s. Besides all these, Internet facility is provided in the department through a central leased line of the institute on a very fast network based on switches. 

MEET THE PRINCIPAL
Dr. R.C. Gupta
Director - Principal

Dr. R. C. Gupta has been a Professor in Mechanical Engineering for long time at the Institute of Engineering & Technology (I.E.T.), Lucknow, which is the university-institute of UP Technical University, Lucknow . He also has been faculty, at other institutes (such as NIT Allahabad), in India & abroad. He has also worked as Head for 10 years and Director from time to time. He has degrees: B.Sc. & B.E. from University of Gorakhpur, and M.Tech. & Ph.D. from I.I.T. Kanpur. He has about 35 years of experience and has 60 research-publications to his credit. He is versatile in teaching & research, and has taught many varied subjects as well as has done research in many fields.

Dr. Gupta is like the 'Engineer who is Physicist too' and his publications also include 15 research-papers in physics. Besides his main field of Production & Industrial Engineering and CAD/CAM, his research interests are also in Materials-Science, Particle-Physics, Gravitation, Dark-Energy, Artificial Neural Network (ANN), Genetic Algorithm (GA) etc. He is Life-member of ISTE and FIE. Dr. Gupta has visited universities in several countries such as in Kenya, Jordan, Japan, Holland, UK, USA for teaching & academic reasons. He has been instrumental in making B.Tech. & M.Tech. syllabi and for bringing research-grants. He is member of BOS & RDC in UP Technical University, Lucknow, and has close links with Lucknow University, NIT Jalandhar & Allahabad and I.I.T. Kanpur & Delhi.

Talent Show 2008
Km. Mukesh Rani of MCA 2nd Yr. and Mr. Ravin of MCA 1st Yr. bagged 1st and 2nd Position Respectively in Poetical Symposium, Km. Jyotsana of MCA 2nd bagged 1st Position in Instrumental and Mr. Ravin of MCA 1st Yr. & Mr. Navneet of MCA 2nd Yr. bagged 1st and 3rd Position respectively in Mono Acting in the Talent Show organized by SDD Group of Professional institutions on 19th Sept. 2008.

Teachers' Day
Km. Priyanka bagged 1st Prize in singing in Teachers' Day Celebration organized by SDD Group of Professional institutions on 5th Sept. 2008.

Sports
The Kabaddi team of MCA Deptt. Bagged 2nd Prize in the annual sports meet of SDD Group of Professional institutions.

Republic Day Celebration
Km. Mukesh Rani of MCA 2nd Yr. bagged 2nd Position in Poetical Symposium in the republic day celebration organized by SDD Group of Professional Institutions on 26th Jan. 2009.

Tech Fest
Mr. Munish Sharma of MCA 2nd Year Bagged 1st position in Paper Presentation and Debate both in SPONTANIA - 08 Organized by Swami Vivekanand Institute of Engineering and Technology, Banur.
Mr. Munish Sharma of MCA 2nd Year Bagged 2nd position in Paper Presentation in AZAARO-09  Organized by Haryana Engineering College, Jagadhri.

ADMISSION PROCEDURE
Admission in this course is made on the basis of result of the entrance examination CETMCA for MCA as per decision of Government of Haryana. (The conditions for appearing in the qualifying examination for NRI seats are not necessary). The admissions is made through on-line off campus counseling by Haryana state counseling society, Haryana, Technical Education Deptt. 

The management quota seats (25 % of the Sanctioned Intake) for MCA are filled as per

Eligibility Criteria - MCA:
The candidate should be a pass in any recognized Bachelor's Degree of minimum 3 years' duration in any discipline with Mathematics at 10 + 2 level.

Or

The candidate should be a pass in any recognized Bachelor's Degree of minimum 3 years' duration in any discipline with Mathematics / Statistics as one of the subjects.

Or

The candidate should be a pass in BCA Degree of minimum three years duration from a recognized University.
