INTRODUCTION
The last decade of the century witnessed phenomenal changes in the industry business and education across the globe due to globalization and liberalization policies of the various countries thereby changing the concept of management  and managers. To meet the  requirement of the industry and to provide quality professionals to the industry, the Institute started Master of Business Administration (MBA) Programme in the year 2004 with the intake of 60 students. Swami Devi Dyal Institute of Engineering and Technology has ushered into existence to keep pace with the economic development of society. Taking into consideration the pre requisite of society which is in dire need of technical skilled masses the institution has been set up by a group of industry leaders and expert handling decades of experience in business commerce and education service.

The institution has been duly approved by all India Council of Technical Education , New Delhi and Government of Haryana and is affiliated to one of the premier university, Kurukshetra University Kurukshetra. Swami Devi Dyal Institute of Engineering and Technology is a precious gift offered to society by Er.Roshan Lal Jindal (Chairman), a renowned and professional Industrialist. It has got itself in a prominent position owing to the humble guidance of Er. Moti Lal Jindal (Vice Chairman) of the Governing Body. The Institute exhibited its supremacy by showing exemplary university results in which many of  its students have scored top positions in the University. The Faculty of the Department is experienced and has a mix blend of industry and academia. We,in our Deptt. fully realize that this is the era of Japanese open management system and new world is emerging , which has led to a need for innovative pedagogy , which must have emphasias on personality development programmes and communication skill development and strong industry institute interface which in our Deptt. aims to provide to our students.

MEET THE PRINCIPAL
Dr. R.C. Gupta
Director - Principal

Dr. R. C. Gupta has been a Professor in Mechanical Engineering for long time at the Institute of Engineering & Technology (I.E.T.), Lucknow, which is the university-institute of UP Technical University, Lucknow . He also has been faculty, at other institutes (such as NIT Allahabad), in India & abroad. He has also worked as Head for 10 years and Director from time to time. He has degrees: B.Sc. & B.E. from University of Gorakhpur, and M.Tech. & Ph.D. from I.I.T. Kanpur. He has about 35 years of experience and has 60 research-publications to his credit. He is versatile in teaching & research, and has taught many varied subjects as well as has done research in many fields.

Dr. Gupta is like the 'Engineer who is Physicist too' and his publications also include 15 research-papers in physics. Besides his main field of Production & Industrial Engineering and CAD/CAM, his research interests are also in Materials-Science, Particle-Physics, Gravitation, Dark-Energy, Artificial Neural Network (ANN), Genetic Algorithm (GA) etc. He is Life-member of ISTE and FIE. Dr. Gupta has visited universities in several countries such as in Kenya, Jordan, Japan, Holland, UK, USA for teaching & academic reasons. He has been instrumental in making B.Tech. & M.Tech. syllabi and for bringing research-grants. He is member of BOS & RDC in UP Technical University, Lucknow, and has close links with Lucknow University, NIT Jalandhar & Allahabad and I.I.T. Kanpur & Delhi.

Eligibility Criteria- MBA
Should have Bachelors or Post Graduate Degree in any Discipline from a Recognised University or an examination recognized as equivalent  thereto by KU , Kurukshetra , Maharishi DayaNand University , Rohtak , Guru Jambeshwar University , Hissar and Ch. Devi Lal University, Sirsa.
OR
Pass in Final examination conducted by Institute of Charted Accountant of India/ Institute of Costs and Works Accountant of India/ Institute of Company Secretaries Of India.

STEP - 1
ALL INDIA MANAGEMENT APTITUDE TEST CONDUCTED BY ALL INDIA MANAGEMENT ASSOCIATION.

A combined written examination which tests the qualitative and quantitative aptitude of the candidate, along with general awareness of the socio economic environment is conducted by AIMA four times every year.

ONLINE COUNCELLING OF THE SELECTED CANDIDATE BY STATE COUNCELLING BARODA, HARYANA.

ADMISSION TO THE MANAGEMENT PROGRAMME OFFERED BY THE INSTITUTE.

INFRASTRUCTURE

THE CAMPUS
Swami Devi Dyal Institute of Engineering and Technology has a matchless outlook and the infrastructure is one of its kinds in the entire region. The institution is spread over 37 acres of land which comprises of an Administrative Block, three Academic Blocks, an Auditorium , separate hostel facilities for boys and girls, faculty houses , a visitor lodge and a power house to ensure round the clock supply of electricity and an exclusive IT Block.It also has a beautifully built temple to provide religious comfort to the students.

The Library
The library acts as a spine which plays an imported role in the students knowledge gaining by imparting better education, both formal and non formal. A full fledged computerized library with 1289 Books in number and 21 Journals of National and International importance exist in the Institute. Enrolment to the library by every student is the primary requirement. Library membership is granted for complete course of studies. All text books prescribed by the university curriculum are available in the library. A separate section of reference books is also there for the students to study in the library.       

COMPUTER LABORATORY
We have separate computer laboratory equipped 30 computers in number with 2.4 GHz Duel core. Round the clock computing and internet facilities through Wireless Network and ISDN connection is available in the campus. LAN structured cable networking with variety of operational and application software.    

AUDIO VISUAL LABS AND LECTURE THEATRES
The institute is equipped with complete array of teaching aids and audio visual equipments like LCD projector, VCD player and OHP. Management related video cassettes are frequently used to make teaching more effective and meaningful. Separate hall for Group Discussion and Seminar is available in the institute.

HOSTEL ACCOMODATION
Separate hostels for boys and girls are operational in the campus of Swami Devi Dyal Group of Institutes from the beginning. The provisions have been made to provide the students the proper facilities to live in the hostels. Both the hostels are provided with the direct line of telephone connection and round the clock security personnel are deployed for the security of students. Efforts are made to make students feel comfortable and have an environment conducive to their studies.

CANTEEN
The Swami Devi Dyal Group of Institute is having two big, spacious and clean canteens which is big draw for the students and faculty. It provides subsisidized wholesome breakfast, meals and snacks.

TRANSPORT
The management is running a fleet of modern and comfortable buses for day scholars from Ambala, Mohali, Chandigarh and Panchkula. The bus service is optional running on no profit and no loss basis. Various pickup points have been identified in these towns to facilitate students to commute from points nearest to their houses.

PLACEMENT CELL
The institute have constituted placement cell comprising of Placement Advisor, Placement Coordinator and student representatives takes up both summer training and final placement activities. The placement cell is constantly in touch with leading Business Organisation and has established an excellent report with them.  The Training and Placement Cell is headed by Er. S.K. Jain, the former engineer in chief of BBMB.

Placement Cell is constantly in touch with the leading organizations, Software Companies, Core Companies for organizing Campus Placements and Joint Campus Placements, giving opportunities to the MBA students for their career.

PLACEMENT OF MBA STUDENTS
Placement drives/ Joint Placement drives of our students has been organized at our campus in the past three years and continuing for the current batch. A good number of MNCs and Indigenous prominent companies visited this college for selection of students from  MBA in the year 2008. More than 80 percent of the eligible student of MBA ( 2008 pass out ) were placed, in various MNCs of repute.
