INTRODUCTION
APPLIED SCIENCE DEPARTMENT of the college is one of the major departments as it is offers various facilities to the students of 1 st year B.Tech Engineering as well as to the other students. This department is started in the year 2001 with an intake of 240 students, now it is raised to 390 students from the academic session 2003. This department is offering the latest facilities. Labs are well equipped. The department is also having very well qualified, experienced & dedicated faculty, which can impart quality knowledge to the students.

Aim of Applied sciences department in a technical institute is to produce quality engineers with all basic knowledge of applied sciences comparing of physics, chemistry, mathematics, management studies and communication skill in humanities. This department acts as the fertilizer to develop student's personality and skills. This department is the back bone of all engineering disciplines. When a student with science background enters, our experienced and dedicated faculty members sharp them technically .Applied sciences is the essential bridge for engineering discipline where the student learns the basic tools of engineering and then applies the topic ion solving the emerging problems in the design, research and development field of any organization.
Effective communication is the corner stone of success in life. In fierce competitive production field engineers of any discipline should have the balanced knowledge in the field of economics and business managements which is one of the objectives of this department. So beside from the science subjects like Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry the other subjects of the department like English, Bio-technology, Economics and Management are also very useful.
In the nutshell the applied sciences department with in a common frame of reference buddies the engineers to establish their inborn sense of perception, conception, ideas and feeling.
