SDD Institute of Engineering for Girls

INTRODUCTION
Swami Devi Dyal Institute of Engineering for Girls was conceived in the year 2008 as a premier Institution exclusively, to provide value based Technical education with excellent infrastructure for professional courses (in the branches of  CSE, IT, ECE).

We have earnestly tried to foster this concept of technical education for young woman that look for quality technical education and acquire graduation. Women constitute almost half of the population in the world. But the hegemonic masculine ideology made them suffer a lot as they were denied equal opportunities in different parts of the world and India is not an exception to this. The rises of feminist ideas have, however, led to the tremendous improvement of women's condition through out the world in recent times. Access to education has been one of the most pressing demands of theses women's rights movements. Women's education in India has also been a major preoccupation of both the government and civil society as educated women can play a very important role in the development of the country.

The role of women in India has undergone several changes over many years.

Today women are emerging as self-reliant persons with equal status in all spheres of society, but they are still mostly employed in low-paid, low-skilled and low-status jobs. The emerging trends in technology indicate a greater need for the employment of many women, particularly in the skill-intensive and knowledge-intensive modern sectors. New educational policies and programs need to be formulated. Strategies must be worked out to overcome the lingering problems women face and improve the access of women to technical and vocational education and related areas of employment in India.
